Terms & Conditions

The car is rented according to the Eco Rent a Car terms and conditions, which are printed on the reverse of the Rental Agreement. Renters are asked to read carefully and confirm acceptance by signing the R.A. Eco Rent a Car reserves the right of not renting a car without explanation. Renters must meet all Eco Rent a Car qualifications, standards and requirements including age, registered address in Romania, payment form (voucher & a valid Credit Card), driving license and a valid passport.

Reservations

Reservations are confirmed only for car groups and not for a specific type of car. Some car groups are not available at all Eco Rent a Car rental locations. Groups on request will be confirmed within 24 hours.

Age

Minimal age is 21 years for car group A, B and 25 years for all other groups. Full address or residence abroad and in ROMANIA is required. A valid driving license must have been held for at least 12 months and must be presented together with valid passport at start of rental. Rentals are subject to terms and conditions printed on the reverse side of the Rental Agreement.

Terms of Payment

The estimated total rental cost is required as deposit. American Express, Mastercard, Eurocard, Visa, Dinner's Club are accepted. Cash payment in Romania currency is only acceptable together with a deposit (between 300-500 Euro; depending on the category of the car rented) for security reasons.

Rates

Include oil, maintenance and third party liability. Fuel is not included. Minimum rental is 1 day (24 hours). The first hour over 24 hours is free of charge. Over one hour delay a full day will be charged. Special rates available on request.
(i.e. weekend rates, long term rates etc.)

Special Equipment

Baby seats, roof rack, ski rack and snow chains may be hired for 20.00 Euro per item.

Additional Driver

For each additional driver, a charge of 15 Euro applies. No more than 2 additional drivers are accepted for regular rentals. Check with Eco Rent a Car for further information.

Refueling charge

For cars returned with empty / partially empty tank, the missing fuel will be charged with 0.7 Euro/liter.

Delivery / Collection

Free of charge between Eco Rent a Car rental locations and from private addresses, within city limits within opening hours. Out of office hours, this service is subject to confirmation prior to the rental. For other cities not included in Eco Rent a Car locations list, 0.30 Euro per Km from / to garage.

One Way Rentals

Subject to special conditions. Please check with Eco Rent a Car for detailed information.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

The renter is liable for full repair of the damages in the following situations:

- Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Gross negligence or willful action
- Use for illicit / illegal purposes
- Driving by unauthorized persons (under age, not declared and written on the R.A.)
- Driving the vehicle off road, in the mountains etc.
- Damages to the underside of the vehicle, to the wheels and tires and to the interior space of the vehicle
- Violation of traffic regulations
- Missing written statement by traffic police at the time of check-in.

Important notice: Both CDW and TP conditions, included in the rates of Eco Rent a Car are applicable only if police protocol and accident report is presented. If not, the renter will be responsible, for all the damages to the rented vehicle. Third party Liability Coverage is 8,000 €.
